• October 7, 2026: Added a debt-to-income ratio calculator. The formula follows the consumer finance regulator's definition, and the page states that lenders set their own limits.
• October 7, 2026: Added an extra mortgage payment calculator that runs a month-by-month schedule from rates and balances the visitor types. It was checked against an independent simulation.
• October 7, 2026: Added a printable debt inventory worksheet and a credit counselor preparation checklist based on published consumer guidance on choosing a counselor.
• October 7, 2026: Merged the thin debt triage guide, refinance decision guide and refinance checklist into one debt triage and refinance guide, and replaced the placeholder payoff worksheet with the debt inventory worksheet. Old addresses redirect.
• October 7, 2026: Rewrote the tools page and start-here page to list only working tools and existing guides.
